Skiing Angel Fire

We got up in the morning, piled on the layers and hit the slopes. It hadn't snowed in a couple days, so the runs were icy and thin - not the best skiing we'd ever experienced. Many of the runs were closed as well, so we quickly saw all there was to see. We completed about 6 runs before taking a break for lunch. After lunch we headed back out and skied until about 4:30 pm.
At 6:00 pm, the resort held a torchlight parade. About 50 skiers made their way down the main run holding flares. Mr. and Mrs. Claus were present as well. The procession was followed by a fireworks show, which was very well done. The fireworks seemed like they were right on top of us.
At the conclusion of the show, we made the slippery walk back to the condo where we ate a semi-traditional Christmas dinner of ham, green beans, potato salad and sweet potatoes. We opened presents afterward and then played Rook until about 1:00 am.
